These past two weeks I have started to learn the guitar, by starting with learning the chords and notes that I need for my songs. I played the guitar for a little bit during my childhood, and thought that it might come back to me, but boy was I wrong. After quitting the guitar in grade 3, I picked up the ukulele, so now when I think about chords my fingers want to go where they would on the ukulele. I am making good progress with my first song, Daisy, Daisy, but am having a harder time with Yellow Submarine. I think this is because there are very fast transitions between chords in the song, and I especially find the switch from C to G hard. I also had to take a week off from playing the guitar as a string broke on my guitar and I had to return it to MERR to get a new one. I am back practising and I am going to focus on switching between chords right now so I can hopefully get better at that. After I can do the chord progressions I will begin to add the strumming pattern.
